Event Description

The contemporary Mexican composer Juan Ramírez has produced this colorful work celebrating the vibrant musical heritage of the peoples of Mexico and Cuba. Based on the life of Yeshua of Nazareth, the work employs two soloists, orchestra and chorus with myriad percussion, including ancient Mexican church bells such as those in the photo. This work will be a Mexican premiere and we hope to have the composer in attendance.
