Biography

Jessica was born in the city of San Miguel de Allende in 1977 into a family of artists: On her mother's side, her grandfather KENT BOWMAN, a veteran of the Second World War, who worked with renowned artists such as Siqueiros and José Clemente Orozco; on the other hand, Jessica is the daughter of one of San Miguel most recognized and talented musicians, Jesús "Chuy" Sánchez, singer and guitarist.
Due to this background, Jessica's artistic career has been nourished by important artistic experiences as well as by coexistence with international and national artists who continually visit the city of San Miguel de Allende, giving a special artistic vision.
With 30 years of artistic career, Jessica currently presents the project “MÚSICA DEL PLANETA”, a cultural mosaic in which we can enjoy an international repertoire giving it a personal and contemporary touch, and experimenting with different styles from Mexican music to English and Portuguese standars mainly.
Interested in transmitting a feeling of unity, she's always coworking with ONG’s and social impact organizations. Jessica uses music as a universal language to transmit emotions and ideas that feed the soul and allow us to enjoy this art in a collective way; connecting with people and supporting social causes.
Jessica has recorded 3 CD's, two with covers and one with original songs, in colaboration with her father Jesús "Chuy" Sánchez.
She currently works at local restaurants and private events, while working on her first original music production “Purple ways”.
