Biography

Proudly Mexican, singer, actress, writer, activist, born in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.
Graduated with a degree in Opera and Concert Singer from the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City.
As a trans woman, she advocates for the rights of the community through her voice and art.
Named in 2019 and 2020 as one of the 100 most powerful Mexican women by Forbes magazine, and in 2022 she was named by L'oréal Paris as one of the 60 women who move Mexico.
With more than 15 years of musical career as an Opera singer, Morganna has performed in the most important theaters in Mexico such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Teatro de La Ciudad in Mexico City and the Teatro Principal in the City of Guanajuato among others.
In 2019, she performed in London, England, with two full houses at The Hens and Chicken Theatre. She has also presented her show in countries such as Canada, Thailand, Costa Rica and Uruguay.
She began her acting career as the protagonist of the documentary “Made in Bangkok” by director Flavio Florencio, nominated for an Ariel for best Mexican documentary. She was co-star of the short film “Oasis”, by Alejandro Zuno, winner of the Ariel for best fiction short film. She is the protagonist of the film “Sirena”, by Miguel Ángel Contreras Pelayo, which premiered at the 2022 Tequila International Film Festival in Jalisco. She was chosen to act in the musical film “10 songs for Charity”, by the Belgian-Dutch director Karin Jünger, filmed in Belgium in 2021.
She has participated in television series such as “Crónica de Castas” (2014, Blim) “Rosario Tijeras” (2018, Telemundo) “La Muchacha que Limpia” (2021 HBO Max) and programs such as “Como dice el dicho”, and was a semi-finalist on the reality show “La Voz, México” on the Televisa network.
She is also the Spanish voice of Blanca Evangelista, the star character of the multi-award-winning series POSE in the Latin American dubbing, and her voice is part of the soundtrack of the films “El Baile de los 41” and “Sirena.”
