Event Description

In a concert by Chorale San Miguel celebrating great music of the Lenten season and Holy Week, the keystone work is J. S. Bach's magnificent cantata for Palm Sunday Himmelskönig, sei willkommen (King of Heaven, welcome!), BWV 182. Included on the program will be Orlando Gibbon's Hosanna to the Son of David, choral works of San Miguel composer Michael Hoppé, Ola Gjeilo's haunting Luminous Night of the Soul, as well as a work using the 1875 Johnson organ with chamber orchestra.
