Biography
Attracting participants every year from across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, the 5-day San Miguel Writers’ Conference is one of the most prestigious cross-cultural literary gatherings in the Americas. Our reputation as a venue that presents some of today’s most celebrated authors is well established. But brilliant keynote addresses are only one compelling feature of the San Miguel conferences. We bring together the high quality of our teaching faculty, the extraordinary networking opportunities, and all of the extras we provide into one extraordinary event.
Our program includes: keynote addresses, online panels, master classes, workshops, author readings, open mics, receptions, and spoken word events. We also present a program in Spanish that includes: a keynote address, workshops for local students, and free events for the public.
This year, we are elated to celebrate our 20th anniversary, featuring award-winning writers like John Irving (The World According to Garp, The Cider House Rules), Percival Everett (Erasure, I Am Not Sidney Poitier, James: A Novel), memoirist and former Gourmet magazine editor Ruth Reichl (Tender at the Bone, Comfort Me with Apples, Garlic and Sapphires, Save Me the Plums), and so many more!
We have curated an array of immersive workshops, inspiring speakers, and abundant networking opportunities, carefully crafted to ignite your creativity and refine your craft. We are confident that this 2025 San Miguel Writers’ Conference and Literary Festival will be a transformative experience for you. Don't delay - get your tickets today!
