Katy Chan.
Chilean, tango singer since 2001, she has been a participant in more than 20 musical groups in Chile and Argentina and countless projects with high-class musicians, mostly related to the tango genre, being known for her career. His first beginnings were in the rock genre and later Latin music. She has participated in the theater and the circus as an actress, clown and musician.
Her career is marked by album recordings, shows throughout the country, different participations in musical projects, winner of important tango competitions, creator of festivals and producer of recording material.
From an early childhood she was involved in music due to the influence of her mother who is a singer, musician and artist. At the age of 10 he studied violin and choir, at the age of 18 he studied circus arts specializing in clowning, at the age of 17 he studied ballroom tango and had studies in lyrical singing, violin tango in Argentina and today he experiments in Royhart singing.
In October 2019, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, arrives, opening a new path for proposals by forming the Tips and Claps Quintet and Trío Fortune. Today her new projects are Cuarteto Chan, with focuses on Afro-American music and "Musicléctica" where she is accompanied by her guitar and sometimes the violin. Developing all the versatility and playfulness, bringing a very energetic and lively show with sounds from America and the world.
