Biography

RUBEN OLVERA.
Musician, producer, bassist and double bassist originally from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Rubén Olvera is one of the most versatile bassists in the city. His participation in different discographies is more than 17 Albums and different singles; including musical genres such as: Jazz, Latin Jazz, Traditional Cuban Music, Rock, Pop and Electronic Music.
He has participated in several music and arts festivals such as Sleepess Night in Miami, Florida 2007, Festival de la Cultura Zacatecas, Mx 2015 and 2017, 5th Coyoacán International Jazz Festival CDMX 2015, Querétaro Jazz Festival, Mx, 2019 Festival, Festival Trashumante 2024, The City Of Jazz Festival 2024 & Festival El Rey, Dolores Hidalgo 2024 whit San Miguel de Allende Jazz Alliance among others. Co-Founder of the Taciturno Collective in Querétaro.
Among the musicians with whom he has worked on different projects are: Doc Severinsen, Luis Gasca, Gil Gutierrez, Gabriel Hernandez, Iraida Noriega, Doug Robinson, Jaime Valle, María Sánchez, Los Mavericks, Keila Tonello among many more.
He currently works as a musician, producer and session musician for recordings and also performs live in this wonderful city with different artists.
